Overview
Architect (“we,” “us,” or “our”) describes in this Privacy Policy how we collect, use, and disclose personal information through our websites, applications, browser extension, communications, and other services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”).
The Archi Browser Extension section below applies specifically to user data obtained through the extension, including raw data and data aggregated, anonymised, de-identified, or derived from it (“Extension Data”). Where that section conflicts with another provision of this policy, the Archi Browser Extension section controls. The broader advertising, marketing, product-development, disclosure, and business-transfer provisions below do not authorise uses or transfers of Extension Data prohibited by that section.
Where we process personal information on behalf of business customers as a service provider or processor, that processing is also governed by our relevant customer agreements. Those agreements do not override our commitments concerning Extension Data.
Archi Browser Extension
Archi helps you compare products and prices on shopping pages. It also offers saved products, shopping preferences, and optional product browsing history.
Information We Collect Through Archi
Depending on the features you use, we collect:
Account information
Information used to create and manage your account, such as your email address and profile information.
Product-page information
Product-page addresses, product names, brands, prices, currencies, images, available options and variants, and relevant product-page content needed to identify products and provide comparisons. Product-page addresses used for listing captures and product history exclude query strings and URL fragments.
Usage and diagnostic information
Events describing extension installation and use, feature interactions, retailer domains, extension version, timestamps, and errors. Usage-event payloads contain retailer domains rather than full page addresses.
Shopping preferences and saved items
Preferences you provide and products you choose to save.
Optional product browsing history
When Personalisation is enabled, records of products you view, including product-page addresses and available product details.
After you sign in and complete the extension’s acceptance flow, Archi can automatically inspect product pages and send relevant product information to our service to identify product options, including while the panel is closed. Opening the panel enables additional product capture and processing for its comparison features. We do not intentionally collect passwords, payment-card entries, or free-entry form contents as product evidence.
Usage analytics are sent only after the extension records your acceptance. A limited number of installation, update, and sign-in events may wait locally until then.
Personalisation is off by default for new users. You can enable or disable it in the extension’s Data & Privacy settings. Disabling it stops new product-history collection; it does not automatically delete history already stored.
How We Use Extension Data
We use Extension Data only to provide or improve Archi’s disclosed single purpose of helping you compare products and prices, including its related user-facing shopping features and necessary operational purposes. These purposes include:
Identifying products, options, and offers on shopping pages.
Providing product and price comparisons.
Operating your account, saved items, and shopping preferences.
Providing optional product history when enabled.
Maintaining, securing, troubleshooting, and measuring the performance and reliability of these features.
We collect and use browsing activity only to the extent necessary for user-facing features prominently described in the extension’s interface and Chrome Web Store listing. We do not collect unrelated browsing activity for general market research or other unrelated business purposes.
We do not sell Extension Data, use or transfer it for personalised, retargeted, or interest-based advertising, transfer it to data brokers or information resellers, or use or transfer it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes. We do not use it to develop unrelated products or train general-purpose AI or machine-learning models.
When We Transfer Extension Data
We transfer Extension Data to third parties only:
When necessary to provide or improve Archi’s disclosed single purpose, including to service providers that operate the service or process product information on our behalf.
To comply with applicable laws.
To protect against malware, spam, phishing, or other fraud or abuse.
As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our assets, after obtaining your explicit prior consent.
We do not provide merchants with shopper-level extension analytics or individual product browsing histories.
Human Access to Extension Data
We do not allow people to read Extension Data except:
With your explicit consent to read specific data, for example to resolve a support request.
Where the data is aggregated and anonymised and used for internal operations in accordance with applicable laws.
Where necessary for security purposes, such as investigating abuse.
Where required to comply with applicable laws.
Restricting access to our employees or operators does not, by itself, create an exception to these restrictions.
Your Controls
You can change Personalisation settings and delete individual product-history entries or clear your history in the extension. Saved favourites are separate from product history and are not removed by clearing that history.
You can delete your account through the account controls provided by the Services. Account deletion removes associated shopper events and product-history records from our active systems. Contact privacy@tryarchitect.com for assistance or questions about deletion and any applicable backup or legal-retention arrangements.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
Archi’s use and transfer of user data complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
These restrictions continue to apply to Extension Data after aggregation, anonymisation, de-identification, or other derivation.

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account the Services you use, your deletion requests, security needs, and applicable legal obligations.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. Publishing an update does not, by itself, authorise a new use of previously collected Extension Data that conflicts with the Limited Use restrictions.
